In a surprising partnership that challenges usual predictions, the game developer has revealed an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Revealed

According to the authorized release, "A mysterious meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of banned practices and monstrous transformations echo through the obscurity." The storyline introduces a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a secret group.

The questline centers on "peculiar experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Changes

The trailer showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a striking scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Additional Features

Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an unique katana together with numerous items hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
